SIGMA GPS (quick drying) Bitumen Primer is a low viscosity black primer used to provide adhesion for the application of bitumen paints, and bitumen enhanced geomembranes.
SIGMA GPS Bitumen Primer is fast drying, and suitable for use with all bituminous surface coatings.
Used mainly for priming concrete roofs and floors, cementitious screeds and renders, bitumen felts, asphalt and mastic, weathered corrugated Iron and Steel, and Wood.

Chemical and water resistance	Resistant to most salt solutions, dilute acids and alkalis, water and alcohol. Not resistant to oil, solvents and some detergent solutions.

As with all surface coatings, preparation of the surface is paramount and will influence the adhesion and life of the coating. All surfaces must be structurally sound, stable, thoroughly clean and dry.
Metal surfaces should be mechanically prepared to remove rust and grease.
Loose or blistered paint should be removed as should tar based systems. New galvanised surfaces should be roughened mechanically and/or treated with a suitable etch primer.
